Auckland Council bollards

As part of the Taurarua Judges Bay re-development DallowBoss was asked to consider a series directional bollards to assist with orientation within the reserve.

Based on an Auckland Council concept, DallowBoss developed an appropriate design template in collaboration with the council brand team, which can be rolled out in other parks and reserves.

A little history lesson.

The Taurarua Judges Bay Interpretation panels were installed yesterday, adding more flavour to the completed redevelopment and being an instant point of interest for visitors to the bay.

The set of 5 panels display a series of 'stories' about the geology of the bay, Maori and European occupation, changes to the coastline and harbour, right up to the artefacts discovered during the recent dredging of the bay. We look forward to seeing more people discovering the history and use of the bay over time.

Waterproof signage needed!

Although the 2012 ASB Classic has been a bit wet for spectators, at least the signage was waterproof!

The 2012 ASB Classic needed a new suite of event signage to assist spectators identify and orientate themselves within the re-developed ASB Tennis Arena. With the new adjoining Next Generation Club facilities complete, older familiar entries and facilities have been updated. So, DallowBoss was pleased to assist with revising the event signage strategy and designing the physical elements for the 5 day tournament.

Netball at the Sports Park.

DallowBoss continues our relationship with Sports Park Hawke's Bay as new facilities are added.

The focus has been on the completion of the Netball Centre and the 18 courts - which over 3000 people regularly use on a Saturday! With a good few months of use, we are pleased with the visibility of the court identification panels and the functionality of the directional elements. The prominence of the sponsor branded treatment of the Netball Centre gives a flash of Pak'n'Save yellow, while additional vehicular signage and primary sponsor signage at key locations within the Park is starting to add flavour to the wider site.

We look forward to assisting as further phases of development progress in the new year.

Red Letter Day gets moving.

With their Ponsonby store operating at a roaring rate, Red Letter Day asked DallowBoss to rev up a pair of black minis.

The wrap-around sidewall and rooftop treatments give a subtle nod to the classic racing mini graphics, while strongly conveying the Red Letter Day brand within the urban environment.

Now Showing

After 4 and a bit years of operation, the magnificent Matakana Cinemas were looking to freshen up their brand appearance. DallowBoss was invited to generate a new identity and to bring consistency to its presentation across promotions and advertising to signage and ticketing.

A master cinema identity, suppported by a quirky, handcrafted set of individual logos was developed to represent the features of their 3 characterful cinemas - The Tivoli, Paradiso and Roxy.

Fancy a beer?

With the Rugby World Cup in full swing, it has been great to see the new mobile Heineken Bar in use.

Engaged by Steve Dean Events, DallowBoss assisted with concept generation and design development of this swish little temporary watering hole for punters enjoying games at Eden Park.

There's a new club in town.

Next Generation opened its Auckland Domain Health and Racquet Club this week, sporting interior directional signage by DallowBoss. The $21m development is integrated with the ASB Tennis Centre on Stanley St, Auckland.

Working closely with their Development Director Bill Guile and the lead architects Copeland Associates, we have been able to develop a subtle system of information that sits comfortably with the architectural and interior detailing.

We can't wait to enjoy the views from their roof top pool!
