Providing new levels of historical and cultural context in Waiuku
As part of the major streetscape development in the Franklin town of Waiuku, a series of information posts were proposed by the Reset Urban Design team. DallowBoss was asked to generate the interpretative and navigational graphics.
The integration of these interpretive and wayfinding elements is a crucial aspect of the overall project. The network of pedestrian-scaled elements was established throughout the town centre, creating more legible connections with the original wharf area, River Lane and the main town centre locations. They convey significant elements of the colourful history of the town and highlight heritage buildings, events and characters to give extra flavour and context to the new streetscape.
