DallowBoss was engaged in partnership with Programme Property Services, to provide wayfinding strategy, design and consultation services for the RTA Studio-designed development sitting right on the edge of the Auckland Trotting Club’s racecourse. The 52,000m2 development features 246 apartments over three buildings and a destination retail precinct.
Through collaboration with the RTA Studio team, a suite of floating signage panels and glazing manifestations was developed that feature three different perforated designs that directly connect to each of the three buildings. This extend the architect’s intentions into the signage, while adding further visual interest to the residential and public spaces.
The complexities of the mixed-use development layout, a phased construction timeline, as well as Covid interruptions, created some interesting challenges, but the completed suite of apartment and site signage connects the spaces and is flexible enough to allow for their planned future developments.
